I originally bought these shoes for my daughter who is a nurse, she has RSDS, Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy Syndrome, which is a nerve disorder and she is able to wear her Dansko shoes for 12 to 14 hours straight and her feet nor her legs hurt. These shoes are great!

I got my first pair of Danskos at Nordstroms and fell in love with them. So I started to buy more as they have so many cute styles and colors. I have lymphodema so trying to find a good fit, comfort and STYLE was very difficult as one foot needs a larger size. So Crocs it was for so long until I discovered Danskos!!!! I now own 5 pairs. You can imagine how excited I was when I found Clogs Central....what a great price on my favorite shoe!! Would recommend these to anyone and I have also recommended Clogs Central because of great prices!

size up 1/2 size
Love the shoes but do not like the half sizing. A little tight and dont like 9 1/2-10 size it needs to be a 10. I have bought shoes before on this site and these are a little tight for that sizing chart. Not happy about the size, taking a lot longer to break in.

Danskos are sized according to European standards, with each size increment comparable to an American whole "size." The Dansko Professional comes in both
wide
and
narrow
sizes. For all other styles, only one width is offered in each size, and different styles have been designed to accommodate both narrower and wider than average feet.

The difference between Cabrio, Box and Oiled Leathers
Box leather
is made specifically for the workplace. It is easy to clean with a damp cloth. It has slightly less shine and is slightly stiffer than the cabrio leather. What box leather lacks in softness, it makes up for in durability and functionality.
Cabrio leather
is the regular (most common) leather that has some sheen to but is not intensely shiny like the patent. Cabrio leather looks dressier than the box leather, but is not quite as reliable in extreme environments like hospitals because it should never get fully submerged in liquids.
Oiled leather
is a matte leather that has no shine. You can rub out scuffs with your fingers, or you can get shoe oil at any shoe store that conditions and makes the leather look new. Oiled leather has a rustic look that is as wholesome as your favorite pair of jeans.
Box (Occupational) Leather
Box leather
is ideal for workplace environments with wet, acidic or greasy conditions. It has a smooth, clean finish that can be easily cleaned.
Use a damp soapy cloth or sponge to remove surface dirt. Do not saturate the leather. Ordinary scuff marks may be touched up with shoe polish.
Bullhide Leather
Bullhide
is a soft full-grain tumbled leather with a rugged look. It is a water-resistant leather that does not break down in environments with wet, acidic or greasy conditions.
To clean, wipe with a damp cloth. To maintain, use a leather cream which can be found at any shoe store.
Cabrio Leather
Cabrio
leather features a black top coat that provides a high-gloss shine and dressy appeal.
To remove surface dirt, wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth.
Crazy Horse Leather
Crazy Horse
is an oiled leather with a heavily oiled finish that creates a durable and moisture-resistant surface. It is often referred to as a rugged leather.
To clean, rub light scuffs with finger tips. Remove stubborn dirt with damp cloth. To maintain, use an Oiled Leather Restorer which can be found at any shoestore. To weatherproof, use a Beeswax Conditioner.
Nubuck Leather
Nubuck,
the softest of our leathers, has a lush and silky feel. This leather is known for rich, bright colors and is perfect for leisure shoes and sandals.
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Use a soft bristled brush to remove surface stains. For maximum water and stain protection, we recommend using a suede & nubuck spray immediately after purchase, which can be found at any shoe store.
Oiled Leather
Oiled
leather has a heavily oiled finish that creates a durable and moisture-resistant surface. It is often referred to as a rugged leather.
To clean, rub light scuffs with finger tips. Remove stubborn dirt with a damp cloth. To maintain, use an oiled leather restorer. To weatherproof, use a waterproofing conditioner which can be found at any shoe store.
Patent Leather

leather is a dress leather with a polycoat finish. This finish gives the leather its high shine.
Gently wipe surface dirt off the leather with a clean damp cloth.
Shagreen Leather

is a print leather with a semi-gloss luster and a dressy appeal. This leather is great for leisure shoes.
To remove surface dirt, wipe gently with a damp cloth.
Tooled Leather

is a full-grain leather embossed to resemble a hand tooled design.
Clean with a soft dry cloth.
Veg Tan Leather
Veg Tan
is a glove-soft leather that has been finished to a rich luster. It has a lightweight, buttery softness that easily conforms to the shape of your foot and has great everyday fashion appeal.
Clean with a soft damp cloth. To maintain, use a leather cream which can be found at any shoe store and a soft clean cloth.
Waterproof Nubuck
Waterproof Nubuck
is a soft leather in warm colors, perfect for leisure shoes.
Wipe with a damp cloth to remove surface dirt. Use a soft bristled brush to remove surface stains. For maximum water and stain protection, we recommend using a suede and nubuck protector spray (which can be found at any shoe store) immediately after purchase.
Waxy Leather
Waxy Leather
is an analine leather with heavy wax top that enhances the soft buttery feel of the leather.
Rub light scuffs with finger tips. To maintain, buff lightly with a shoe shine sponge.
