With tons of new and exciting styles to try, and a revamped foot bed for the traditional favorites, Dansko is celebrating 2008 with comfort and fashion for all. The only problem is: where do we start? The collections have gotten better, the colors are cooler and the styles are more versatile than ever before. The best place to begin this journey through all the new Dansko styles is at the basics. After that, the newest styles are organized by their collection; so if you know what foot bed works best for you, scroll down to see what new colors and styles are available.

Stapled Clog Collection:
The Professional has grown from a comfortable secret of a few die-hard Dansko customers to the most comfortable clog for work, play and everything in between! In case you were wondering, or even if you had no clue about the issues Dansko had with its foot bed this last year, everything has been smoothed out and made even better than before. Though the debacle over the Professionals ' patented base model lasted for a few months and had many Dansko retailers and customer's wondering about the Professionals' future, Dansko has come back with amazing results. Not only did Dansko gain control over their own foot base, the company has added a few upgrades to the old staple of the Stapled Clog Collection. The foot bed for all the new Professional styles now is equipped with more traction imprinted into the same bottom design of the base. This means that for those times when your Danskos were not as forgiving as you wanted them to be, now they have no choice but to take you over whatever terrain you care to travel. Another, more cosmetic change is the look of the foot base. Though still made with the shock-absorbing polyurethane outsole, Dansko has added a more “wood looking” outer appearance to the design to make the clog look more like its original wood clog cousin from Poland. So now that you are up to speed on all the new and exciting features the Professional now has, let's talk about the new colors Dansko created for the mother of the Stapled Clog Collection. The primary colors for any Dansko collection are the Antique Brown Oiled , Black Oiled , Blueberry Oiled and the more polished looking Hickory Cabrio , Black Cabrio and Cordovan Cabrio.
For those of you who are true Professional wearers, I urge you to try the great styles made on the Stapled Clog Collection that will instantly spice up your wardrobe. The Marcelle has become a newly desired preference as it continues to grow in popularity year after year. Coming in colors similar to the Professional with Cordovan , Hickory , Black Cabrio and Brown Latigo , this Mary Jane look alike is sure to become your next much loved pair of Danskos . If you are not quite ready to move to the Marcelle , then you must get in a pair of Sonjas . The traditional slide clog can be worn as a house shoe or for everyday use. It is as useful as the professional but without a back for a different look and feel. If you like the Sonja , try the Ingrid . The Ingrid is the same cut as the Sonja with an additional strap across the front.

Charlestown Collection:
The Charlestown collection featured on the foot bed of the same name has quickly become a favorite collection from Dansko . Introduced last year with styles like Della , Diana , Desiree , and Darcy this Dansko shoe has already gained popularity for its comfort and style. This season look out for the rocking new sandal styles on this collection that offer supreme summer luxury and unique design. The Demi offers supreme support with its large front leather cross strap and two back buckles. This slide comes in three great earth tones: Brown Veg-Tan , Butterscotch Veg-Tan , and Black Veg-Tan . Now don't be turned of by the “Veg-Tan” label. That is only the type of leather the shoe is constructed from.
Another great new style in this collection is the Delany . It is a spin off of the classic sandal style with an ankle strap and clasp and a front leather cross piece . Dansko added their own flare to this classic and put an adjustable strap on the toe part of the sandal for added versatility and added cute cutouts to the side of the front and back part of the sandal. In addition to coming in the same colors as the Demi , the Delany comes in Tomato Veg-Tan , a great color for spring and summer. The Daria completes the Charlestown Collection's new look. This sandal is a twist on a sling back but offers a lot of adaptability with its four adjustable straps; three over the top part of the foot and one across the back. The Daria also comes in Black, Brown and Butterscotch Veg-Tan.

Nolita Collection:
Last year Dansko also came out with another line that boasted high popularity: the Nolita Collection . This foot bed took the patented Dansko base and transformed it into a comfortable but fashionable sandal look. With the success of last year's Naomi, it is no wonder that Dansko decided to introduce three new styles on the Nolita foot bed. The Neeci is similar to last year's Neve , but with a more sophisticated styling on the leather uppers. In addition the the basic colors of Earth , Carmel , and Black , the Necci comes in Margarita . Dansko is also offering the Necci in a two toned color with a leather upper and linen inset in both Earth Linen and Black Linen . The Novalee is one of the most innovative sandals Dansko has ever come out with and all the more reason to snatch a pair for you with supplies last. This criss-cross inspired sandal also comes in Margarita so you can have a festive party shoe that also works for walking the dog. The Nicolette evocates a classic style but has its own take on summer fashion. The simple design paired with the exceptional foot bed creates a perfect dress up/dress down sandal for spring and summer.

Sausalito Collection:
If you are looking for spring and summer styles that are more reminiscent of the Stapled Clog Collection , look no further than the Sausalito Collection , the newest of Dansko' s new shoe lines. The Sausalito looks very similar to the Stapled Clog base but has a more streamline look that adds a stylish edge to those new styles. The wood-looking base is made of the same material as the Stapled Clog but has a different sole for support where these shoes need it most. The slip-resistant bottom complements the super comfortable soft cushion top where your foot will feel comfortable all day long. Long time Dansko customer Misa exclaims that the shoes are “Comfortable, soft and a pure delight!” Similar to the Monika , the Sadie of the Sausalito Collection is a great sandal for those casual strolls in the park to the dressed up nights on the town. Though it does not have any adjustable straps, the back strap is connected to the toe box uppers by two ecstatic bands allowing for easy on and off. If you liked the Delany but want a higher base or a more Professional looking style, another great Sausalito favorite to check out is the Sissy . This flower-inspired sandal comes in Sand and Poppy Nubuck , and Black and Brown Pull-up.
The Susana may look like a cross between the Sonja and the Merrie , but it is really its own breed of style on this new foot bed. The chic wrap effect of the leather uppers only adds sass and style to this slip on clog. The Susana is not your garden-variety clog with its fashionable cutouts and simple colors: Black and Brown Pull-Up . Another style all its own is the Sela . Dansko has really upped the creativity with these great wrapped styles, the Sela included. This sandal is perfect for all your summer activities and is adjustable to fit just any foot shape. With the bright and exotic colors form Lime to Marine and Poppy Nubuck , this style is sure to add the perfect amount of pep to any summer closet. For those who love the exclusive design but are not as bold, check out the Sand Nubuck or Black and Brown Pull-up colors. Beacon Hill Collection:
For the more professional summer sandal shopper, check out the newest styles in the Beacon Hill Collection . But act fast when ordering this style because Dansko will be discontinuing the whole line after its run in Spring/Summer 2008.

Golden Gate Collection:
Another Dansko collection that has done very well is the Golden Gate Collection. This foot bed combines the rocker style of the Stapled Clog with a more dressed up look. Dansko is returning this season with a few favorites like the Lark , Lorelei , Loki and Lolita . A new color for the Lark and Lolita is a bright and cheery Pomegranate Veg-Tan. This collection has two new styles that also offer the Pomegranate Veg-Tan as part of their color line. The Lizzie is a straightforward construction that is the epitome of a cozy sandal with infinite possibilities. The Lizzie has three adjustable clasps for maximum comfort and along with its summer-like appeal comes in three colors to please any Dansko fan. Lotus is properly named after its flower-inspired design. This closed-toe sandal will work for spring, summer and well into the cooler months of fall.
